How customs clearance works in Azerbaijan
Import and export declarations are filed through the electronic systems of the State Customs Committee; goods are classified by HS code, the customs value is determined and duty, VAT (standard rate 18%) and other applicable charges are calculated. Duty rates vary by product group (many groups fall within 0–15%), and some goods require licences, certificates or permits. What drives the price
Brokerage fees depend on the number of tariff lines in the declaration, the type of procedure, the volume of permits and certificates required, document corrections and urgency. Customs duty, VAT and other state payments are not part of the service fee and are calculated separately.
