Transporting industrial equipment requires related decisions from procurement documentation to on-site acceptance. The machine, production line module, electrical cabinet, spare parts and auxiliary devices, even within the same delivery, may differ in size, weight, center of gravity, sensitivity to moisture and impact, lifting method and customs classification.

The primary plan begins with technical data for each unit. External dimensions, gross weight, packaging, lifting and securing points, photographs, model and serial information, manufacturer and origin, commercial value, date of readiness and unloading capabilities are recorded. Approximate weights or incomplete dimensions may lead to incorrect selection of vehicle, container, crane and mounting scheme.

Standard items can be priced for FTL, LTL, container or air shipment. For large and heavy units, road restrictions, special trailers, terminals, cranes, overloads and possible permits are analyzed separately. The technical feasibility of one mode of transport does not automatically mean that it is safer, faster or cheaper; The entire chain from door to door is compared.

The import documents do not contain the general name of the equipment. Technical purpose, model, material and area of ​​use may affect classification and approval requirements. Parallel planning of documents, main transport, customs and acceptance helps to see in advance the risk of waiting at the terminal or the impossibility of unloading at the final site.

Prepare equipment for transport and site receipt

Provide the manufacturer’s transport instructions and packing requirements. Identify the centre of gravity, lifting points and sensitivity to moisture or vibration. Working dimensions can differ from dimensions in the transport configuration.

Check vehicle access, gate dimensions, the unloading area and receiving hours. Site delivery does not automatically include installation. For multi-piece equipment, agree the receiving and unloading sequence.

Technical audit and packaging

Before transportation, dimensions and weight are compared with the manufacturer's documents, the center of gravity and lifting points are checked. The packaging is assessed not as an outer shell, but as protection from sea humidity, vibration, overload, long-term storage and possible exposure to an open area.

Route and lifting operations

The loading area, departure terminal, roads, bridges and tunnels, destination terminal and entrance to the final facility are checked in one scheme. The crane's lifting capacity and radius, trailer height, mounting and unloading sequence are selected only after obtaining actual technical data.

Customs and equipment description

Invoice, packing list, contract, origin, technical description and code information are compared with each other. For used equipment, complete lines, individual parts and electrical components, different requirements may apply; the final list is confirmed according to the current official rules.

Reception and queue at the site

The order of arrival is related to the installation plan, available storage, crane and availability of the installation team. For early cargo, protected storage is provided, for a delayed critical module - an assessment of the impact and possible solution; the result is not formulated as a guarantee.
